Lacan, Topology, & Interpretations

In the spirit of transmission, this study group will utilize Gerardo Arenas’ San Francisco seminars in 2020, the Structure of Interpretations and Towards an Economy of Jouissances, to grapple with Lacan s applicable fascination with topology and the infinite extrapolations of interpretations. Working with Arenas’ new book A Practical Way to Feel Better, other readings will include, but not be limited to, Gallagher’s bootleg English translation of Lacan’s Seminar IX and “The Instance of the Letter in the Unconscious, or Reason Since Freud” in the Écrits.

*Please note: this seminar is being run in conjunction with a cartel.
